During resin-price volatility, the most useful packaging quote is a dated price for a fixed specification, quantity and delivery scope. A lower headline number is difficult to evaluate if the material, bag weight, printing or shipment terms have changed. Use the following checks for a repeat purchase or a new custom PE bag project.
A view from Hengyi’s factory photo collection. A comparable packaging quote needs a defined specification and production scope.
Write the bag type, finished dimensions, gussets and single-wall thickness. State the required material and intended use. Specify LDPE, HDPE and any required resin blend clearly; a general “PE price” does not identify the grade or blend required for your item. Colour, opacity and any special requirement also need confirmation. A cost review should not silently substitute a different material.
For an apparel bag, identify the closure and surface appearance. For a retail carrier, identify the handle construction and loading conditions. For an industrial liner, send the opening, fit and sealing requirements. For food-related use, identify the actual contact conditions and the supporting documents required for the destination; a lower resin price does not establish suitability.
For a printed bag, compare the same artwork revision, print sides, colours, coverage and repeat dimensions. Hengyi’s confirmed printing process is gravure. Ask which tooling or setup items are included, whether suitable existing tooling can be reused, and what has changed. A resin decrease does not itself remove a separately applicable setup or plate requirement. Do not assume different bag dimensions can share the same printing tooling.

Ask for a per-piece or per-1,000-bag selling price for bag orders, with the quantity and total amount shown consistently. Keep any resin-weight or MOQ-weight explanation separate. Film rolls may be sold on an agreed kilogram or roll basis, so specify net film weight, core and roll construction. Do not compare a bag price per piece with a gross-carton price per kilogram as if they were interchangeable.
If the request falls below the applicable production quantity, ask what order quantity is workable and how the alternative is priced. There is no single MOQ for every bag or printed design. Compare the same quantity tier before attributing a price difference to a resin movement.
Record quotation date, validity and the planned production and delivery window. Identify whether the discussion concerns an unconfirmed enquiry, a repeat quotation or an already agreed order. Confirm currency, tax treatment, payment terms and the named place for the selected trade term. An exchange-rate or freight movement can change an overseas buyer’s total even when the resin scenario is unchanged.
Ask which specification and inspection conditions remain unchanged. A thinner film, different closure or changed blend can affect how the bag behaves in the actual application. A sample review can include dimensions, film thickness, seal appearance, print registration and the agreed functional checks. No specific performance result is implied here. Approve changes against the real packed product rather than treating appearance alone as a pass.
“Please review the attached approved bag specification and artwork at the same order quantity. Confirm material, single-wall thickness, per-piece price, setup charges, packing, delivery terms and quotation validity. If a resin-price change affects the offer, please identify the comparison date and keep any specification alternatives separate.”

Our view is that a changing resin market is a good reason to make a quotation more precise. A like-for-like price review and a redesigned, lower-material-weight bag are two different proposals. Keeping them separate makes it easier for the buyer to understand where a potential saving comes from.
For a specification alternative, we recommend reviewing the actual packed product, fit, closure, handling and the agreed sample checks before approving the change. For an unchanged specification, the discussion should stay focused on a dated, clearly scoped quotation. Material, thickness, printing, order quantity and delivery requirements remain relevant even when a futures chart moves sharply.
A futures chart alone cannot answer a packaging-delivery decision. Compare current applicable quotations, your required delivery date and the cost of supply interruption. This guide does not predict a market bottom.
Only through an explicit specification change and an appropriate sample review. Keep that alternative separate from a same-specification resin-price review so the two savings are not confused.
Send the bag drawing, intended use, material, single-wall thickness, artwork, closure, quantity and delivery destination. Attach the previous approved specification version when comparing a repeat order.
Hangzhou Hengyi Packaging Material Co., Ltd. supplies custom PE packaging. Review our clear and printed PE flat bags or PE film roll range, then send your bag drawing, single-wall thickness, material, artwork and order quantity. Ask for the applicable price unit, quotation validity and delivery terms. A market headline does not replace an agreed quotation.
